How to Place Orders
All pieces are one-of-a-kind!
There are so many varying factors such as the size and color of rare stone encapsulated, the colors revealed through striking the reactive glass at varying temperatures, the various fuming processes, and so much more that will determine the final results. I am always excited to see what comes out of the kiln at the end of the cooling cycle.
If you see some you would like to add to your glass collection the feel free to message me with any questions or to place an order. You can order through my Website for local pick up in Nanaimo or email us to set up an order with e-transfer payment to be shipped almost anywhere!

Encapsulated Double Terminated Quartz
These pill shaped borosilicate glass pendants features a doubled terminated quartz that was mined locally here on Vancouver Island. The precious stone was then encased in clear borosilicate glass and capped on each end with striking boro glass.
For Islanders, this is a little piece of home to wear close to your heart. To find a Double Terminated quartz is a rare feat in itself, but to successfully encase it in Boro Glass is extremely difficult and takes a lot of skill, time, and patience to achieve success. I am very excited about these pendants. These unique shapes of each stone create variations that can not be replicated.

Meet The Artist
Chad Atwell-Lampworker
Step into the virtual studio of Chad Atwell, a passionate lampworking artist. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Chad enjoys has always felt at home surrounded by nature. Chad's fascination with the creation of glass pieces began at a early age. Chad would often purchase new items to fuel his curiosity.
Eventually, he couldn't resist the temptation any longer and ordered his first bead-making kit, not really knowing anything except that with this kit, he could melt glass. At the time he was living in a small one-bedroom apartment, setting up on the patio once he learned the dangers of inhaling the fumes. With a MAPP Gas torch head, he lit his first flame and began melting glass.
In order to learn the art, Chad spent hours watching other artists on tube videos, learning new techniques such as silver fuming, incasing, and other ways to manipulate glass.
Now, in a house, with his Red Max Major Minor and Paragon Kiln set up in his man cave (with ample ventilation...lol) Chad enjoys creating astonishing pieces and excited to share them with you. His passion for Lampworking paired with his connection with nature stands out in each piece.
When Chad isn't on his torch, he keeps busy operating the food truck he owns and operates with his wife in their hometown, Nanaimo. Tipsy Avocado food truck has become a staple in the community. Chad enjoys serving the community amazing west coast inspired Street food!
Join him on his journey as he continues to learn new techniques and expands his boro glass collection.
